What we collect about you

Very little. This site is a set of static pages with no accounts, no forms, no comments and no newsletter, and we set no cookies of our own. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs.

We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not follow you from site to site. It records the page you viewed, the site that sent you, your browser and device type and your country, and we only see those as totals.

The map pages load tiles from OpenFreeMap, which sees your IP address like any web server. The “on Google” rating links take you to Google Maps, where Google’s own privacy policy applies.

When you use a listing’s “Visit website” or “View on Google Maps” button, we count that click for the listing (which business, website or Maps, the page it came from and your country). We store no cookies, no IP address and no personal data, and the count cannot be tied back to you.

What the site says about businesses

Every listing is a business, not a person. We show the business name, address and a link to its website as published on Google Maps, together with Google’s star rating and review count, which link back to the Google listing. We do not publish email addresses, owner or staff names, or any personal profiles.

Business owners who want a listing corrected can email us. We cannot change a Google rating.

Data sources

Business listings, ratings and review counts come from Google; neighbourhood boundaries come from City of Calgary Open Data.
